Duck Hunting
The bottom of Louisiana, at the mouth of the Mississippi River. (Pass-a-Loutre).
You drive an hour two from New Orleans to Venice, LA. You get in the big boat, drive another hour or so in it, and tie up to an oil rig head for the weekend and camp (on the boat/wellhead.) You get in the flat boats and and you shoot ducks. You fish. It's glorious.
No cell phones, but you could call home on ship to shore for a lot of dollars a minute if you had to. Mostly, you just listened to LSU or Saints games because the AM radio traveled.
