Prince announced that he will be doing pop-up shows - 1 week before the show. The venue was announced a half hour before the tickets went on sale. After the system crashing on me, I inched my way, page-by-page through Ticketmaster and scored.
Then he announced a second show an hour later.
Then he announced a third show 6 hours after that.
Then he announced a fourth show the night of the first show. 8pm and 11pm Sat and Sunday, almost 30 years to the day since the Purple Rain show.
And it was amazing.
Sorry there's not many pics; you got booted from the show if you got caught taking them (unbeknownst to me and my friend, as he was kicked out after the second song.)
